Welcome to Kohlmann Farms
Kohlmann Farms is a small scale, no-till, bio-intensive, naturally grown farm located in South Beaver Township, Pennsylvania. We are committed to an all natural and regenerative method of farming, using "No-Till" practices.
It's a way of farming that we are proud of and are honored to share with our community.
Feed the earth, feed the people, feed the future.
Our Mission
Our mission at Kohlmann Farms is to bring clean, fresh produce of the highest quality and nutrition to the tables of our community, in a way that improves and enriches the ecological environment that we harvest from, all while maintaining transparency and integrity in our methods.
Our Methods:
Kohlmann Farms is committed an all-natural way of farming, using "No-Till" practices to reduce soil disturbance which helps maintain soil structure and microbiome, and builds the natural health and fertility of our soil. In turn, this method provides health and vitality to our plants and bounty to our harvests. Kohlmann Farms is 100% free of pesticides and chemical/synthetic fertilizers.
Despite being a tractor enthusiast (Kurt that is) - Kohlmann Farms does not use tractors or any other form of heavy equipment on our planting beds once they have been established. All planting, cultivation, and harvesting is done manually using hand tools and techniques geared toward small scale farmers to reduce and eliminate damage to the soil and its living organisms.
Our Values:
- Clean regenerative agriculture that promotes a balanced, sustainable ecosystem
- Clean, nutrient rich produce that fuels vitality in our customers and community and is free from toxic chemicals/fertilizers
- Community involvement and richness to help our customers and community have a better understanding of no-till, regenerative agriculture and the importance of these methods
- Sustainability and transparency as a food source to our community
